I think I have a very unique Bishop. Normally you'd expect them to be pious, full of thees and thous almost. I think the man upstairs certainly picked the right man for the job, because he has a way of connecting with young people. Last year he asked me if I wanted to teach class on Sundays, and I was rather stunned. Not so much about the calling itself (I had been teaching 3rd hour for over a year by then), but it was the fact that I was still struggling to stand for long periods of time with an as-of-yet undiagnosed hip problem. Our conversation went like this:
Bishop: Grant, I'd like you to teach Sunday School from now on, do you think you could do that?
Me: Um, you know I have trouble standing, right?
Bishop (without batting an eye): Just do it Jewish style, sit down.
Nowhere to go after that, it was all settled :)
Teaching is something I rather enjoy. Considering how I struggled as a child with speech, I think I've come a long way. I would consider teaching as a profession in a heartbeat, if only they were paid more.

Teaching college pays slightly more than lower grades. You could do that.
